Defibrillator (AED) Training
2 hour course in Automatic External Defibrillation 22101VIC.
Course Description:
This course provides individuals with the knowledge and skills to enable them to effectively use an Automated External Defibrillator as part of the resuscitation process to a victim who has suffered a cardiac arrest.
Learning Objectives:
Course Prerequisites:
Participants must be able to demonstrate current competence in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Students must be at least 14 years of age at the time of attendance.
Course Details:
The face to face training is 2 hours and covers both theory and practical aspects of Defibrillator Training.
Students are required to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the course commencement or will be refused entry.
Group Training:
Apply First Aid Northern Rivers provides training for groups of 5-24 students at your office or workplace.
The Defibrillator course can be customised to meet your industry requirements. Apply First Aid Northern Rivers also provides an Advanced Management System to notify clients and students when certificates are due to expire, ensuring staff are always compliant.
State-of-the art resources and learning material are provided for theory and practical learning and all students must pass the course prior to receiving certification.
Qualification Issued:
On successful completion of the course participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the nationally accredited course - 22101VIC Course in Automated External Defibrillation.
certificates are emailed following each course.
Certificate Validity:
Certification is valid for 12 months from the completion date.
Enrolment Confirmation:
Once enrolled, Healthcorp will email students a Defibrillator training booking confirmation with venue details and maps, course requirements and terms of enrolment.

- Resuscitation techniques
- Safety issues relating to the AED
- Maintenance and use of the AED
- Perform CPR in line with ARC guidelines
